Martin Luther King, Jr DC Support Group, Inc.  

It shall be the mission of the Martin Luther King, Jr. DC Support Group, Inc. to translate the dream of universal love, peace, racial harmony, and social justice into a living reality through the sponsorship and promotion of such social and educational programs as:

► Workshops and seminars to promote and enhance cultural and racial understanding;
 
► Voter registration and participation to enhance citizenship responsibility of the disenfranchised;
 
► Supportive service programs for offenders and ex-offenders;
 
►To divert ex-offenders from crime and enhance their re-entry into society;
 
►Food cooperatives and nutrition programs in Conjunction with the Capital Area Food Bank;

► Health care and spiritual enrichment programs;
 
► Perpetuating the legacy of Dr. King through fund raising activities and other support programs for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, Inc. and;
 
► Disseminating information about the life and works of Dr. King.
